Town of Hvar

Every visitor of this ancient city is sure to find his own fraction of tranquility and magic, so generously offered by this charming place. Strolling along the monuments such as Fortica Fortress, Hvar Cathedral, theatre, Arsenal and franciscan monastery will lead you through the long history of this city, whose every stone is telling its own old story.

Town of Jelsa

In the central part of the island of Hvar is Jelsa, the tourist center on the north shore of the island. Numerous vilae rusticae around Jelsa, the church of St. Mary, the church of our Lady of health, Civitas Vetus Ielsae (old Jelsa city), the square of St. John and The Plaza are just some of the places to visit as you take a walk through the history of this town.

Vrboska

On both sides of a long narrow bay is located the smallest town on the island, called Vrboska. Beaches

The beaches in Island of Hvar are generally rocky - pebble, situated in bays, surrounded by pine forests. There are also several natural sandy beaches, mostly on the north side of the island due to fact that north winds ("bura") and sea waves are stronger then south waves and wind ("jugo").
